Take a box, container, or anything else that will withstand being buried and create a family treasure or time capsule. Whatever you call it you and your children will have a lot of fun bury it and in the years to come opening it back up. Decide out long you will wait before you open and then how many items each family member gets to add.
This is perfect for the child that you trying to get off the bottle or pacifier. You can tell them they need to buy all their secret treasures so no one can get them and when they are older they will be able to see how things have changed.? It is best to keep the number items to a minimal, say one or two per person. Another great thing to include is a letter from each person. Take pictures of yourselves and add them in as well.
Dig a big deep hole and put all your treasures into. This of course is ideal if you own your house or maybe at Grandma?s house. Some place that in a few years when you want to dig it up you will have access to it.
